Boys Volleyball played against the Pacetti Bay Wildcats in the Semi-Final match last Thursday night . The Boys remain undefeated with a record of 13-0 going into the Championship match. Lead stat earners for the boys were: Brayden Carroll with 6 kills, Carson McKitterick with 7 assists and 3 aces, and Jay Balakumar with 3 aces .The Flyers Boys Volleyball Team will play at Home in the Championship match against the Landrum Lions this Tuesday, November 14. Congratulations to all 14 of our Talent Show Acts! We had a packed house on Friday night and each person should be very proud of their accomplishments. We gave out 5 awards on the night and the winners, selected by our panel of judges, are as follows:

· Best Instrumental Performance: Matthew Shi on the piano

· Best Vocal Performance: Naomi Porter, singing “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie

· Most Entertaining Performance: Caitleigh Calhoun, singing “Popular” from the musical Wicked

· Showmanship Award: Evangeline Haddock and Valentina Perdomo with a Jazz dance

· Most Creative Performance: Brindha Thodupunuri, who hoola-hooped to the Cha-Cha Slide.

Coins for a Cure raised a total of $1708.39.

Congratulations to Krishna Kooloth for becoming the newest Fruit Cove Middle School Spelling Bee Champion!! She is on a two-year winning streak and will advance to the district-wide Spelling Bee in December. Congratulations Krishna!

Vivek Kolli (6th grade), Nishal Chitteti 6th grade ) and Nikit Chitteti (8th grade) participated in National Chess Day Tournament in K-8 category held at MOSH on October 14, 2023, conducted by Scholastic Chess .Vivek Kolli won 4th place in K-8 section of individual standings in the tournament . Based on school pairings, Vivek Kolli, Nishal Chitteti and Nikit Chitteti, representing Fruit Cove Middle School, won 2nd place in the tournament. Congratulations to these young men for their outstanding achievement and for representing Fruit Cove Middle school’s Chess Club.
