This week is National School Counselors Week. FCMS has the best counselors. A huge shout out goes to our three school counselors who spend each and every day helping so many people. If you see one of our counselors today, please thank them for all they do.

There is a new club on campus! The Florida Future Educators of America Middle School Chapter is for students who want to be leaders at FCMS, earn service hours, or join Creekside High School’s Teaching Career Academy. The club meets one Wednesday per month, and the first meeting is on February 2nd. You can pick up the application from Ms. Benetsky in Room 440.
Stop by the media center to vote for your favorite book, and guess how many books are in the library. Tomorrow is the last day to vote. Today’s name that book contest guest reader is Mr. Whitmer.

Today is the beginning of Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida. Stop by the media center to vote for your favorite book, guess how many books are in the library and to participate in blind date with a book. Each morning there will be a name that book contest and a guest reader. After the reader stops reading, your class will guess the title of the book and your homeroom teacher will email Ms. Thornton. The winning class will get a cookie party. Today’s guest reader is Mrs. Doemel.
