Congratulations to the girls’ basketball team for their win over Murray Middle School 38-21. Great defensive was played and held Murray to zero points in the second quarter. The high scorers for the flyers were Courtney Owen with 17 points and Elarie Desuyo with 11 points. Great game ladies!!
Boys basketball fell last night to Murray in a hard-fought match up 53 to 38. Leading stat earner in last night’s game was Max Cockerham with a season high 15 points. The boys look to rebound at home next week against the Landrum lions. The theme for the night is Hawaiian night.
National Junior Honor Society, WEB, and the B6 Club are sponsoring a pet supply drive to benefit the St. Johns Pet Adoption Center. The drive will run from Monday, February 26 through Thursday, March 7. Food, toys, treats, old towels or blankets, dishes, collars, leashes, new or slightly used bedding and carriers are needed. Bring your donations to your homeroom. The homeroom with the most donations will receive a cookie treat!
Attention 8th Grade Students planning to attend the end of the year trip to SeaWorld GradTastic on May 17, the permission slip and payment are due March 8th. That deadline is quickly approaching. See Ms. Carroll in Portable 4 if you have any questions and/or concerns.
