Congratulations to all 14 of our Talent Show Acts! We had a packed house on Friday night and each person should be very proud of their accomplishments. We gave out 5 awards on the night and the winners, selected by our panel of judges, are as follows:
· Best Instrumental Performance: Matthew Shi on the piano
· Best Vocal Performance: Naomi Porter, singing “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie
· Most Entertaining Performance: Caitleigh Calhoun, singing “Popular” from the musical Wicked
· Showmanship Award: Evangeline Haddock and Valentina Perdomo with a Jazz dance
· Most Creative Performance: Brindha Thodupunuri, who hoola-hooped to the Cha-Cha Slide.
Congratulations, again, to all of our contestants!
Coins for a Cure raised a total of $1708.39.
The top three are $149.36 – Reichard, $151.33 – Schmidt, and the winner of the doughnut party raising $165.25 is Krost.
Congratulations to Krishna Kooloth for becoming the newest Fruit Cove Middle School Spelling Bee Champion!! She is on a two-year winning streak and will advance to the district-wide Spelling Bee in December. Congratulations Krishna!
Flyer Girls and Boys Volleyball played against the Sebastian Eagles last night . The Boys remain undefeated with a record of 12-0. Lead stat earners for the girls were: Brianna with 5 assists and 3 kills, Kinley Bugbee with 3 kills, and Emma Kelley with 10 digs.Lead stat earners for the boys were: Brayden Carroll with 8 kills and 4 aces, Carson McKitterick with 6 assists, and Jay Balakumar with 2 digs . The Flyers Boys Volleyball Team will play at Home in the Semi-Final match this Thursday, November 9th. The theme for the night is School Spirit, so come on out and show your best school spirit and support for the team! Boys’ play at 5:30. Please purchase your ticket on School Pay!
NJHS officers meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14. It will be right after school in Mrs. Doemel’s room. The all-membership meeting for November will be held on Thursday, November 16, right after school in the cafeteria. All meetings are mandatory.
