The Fruit Cove Middle School 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee winner is 6th grader Kevin Macieira. He will represent FCMS as the SJCSD District Spelling Bee on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.Second runners-up were 8th graders Nishal Chitteti, Alexandra Wolcott, Eira Puri and 6th grader Alvin Berrios. The National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring a toy drive through Friday, December 5th. Students need to bring in any unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys 4 Tots organization. Toys will be collected by homerooms and the homeroom with the most toys will win fresh baked cookies. Let’s help make the holidays better for all children.
