The Flyers Basketball teams head to Landrum Middle School this evening to take on the Lions. Tickets can be purchased on SchoolPay via the link on the FCMS home page. Congratulations to the SJMSAA Fruit Cove Middle School “Fly Girls” Dance Team. They recently performed at the NDA Citrus Regional and the UDA Florida Dance Competition, and we celebrate their hard work and season!

Last night, the Flyers girls basketball team girls fell to Murray Middle School with a final score of 27-14. The leading scorers for the Flyers were Ellarie Desuyo with 8 points And Alice Silva with 2 points.

The Flyer boys also fell short to Murray with a score of 35 to 28 . Leading scorers in the game were Samay Kolukuluri with 9 points and Nicco Rippa with 6 points

Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! 2025 is scheduled for January 27- 31. This year, the theme for Celebrate Literacy Week is “Building Literacy: Constructing the Foundation of Success.”

At FCMS we will have the following events:

• Daily Morning Literacy Week Announcements, hallway bulletin boards, classroom lessons by WEB leaders.
• In ELA Classes- Literacy quotes will be shared each day with students
• Visit Media Center All Week:
  • Everyone who checks out a book will get a brag tag and bookmarks.
  • You can participate in a Book Scavenger Hunt
  • You can “Build a Story”

The Flyer boys picked up their first win of the season beating Gamble Rogers 39-34. Leading scorers in the game were Samay Kolukuluri with 19 points and Stephan Karam with 6 points
